About Us

Ozwest Aviation was formed in late 2009 by Martin Brooker and Dr Peter Mulrooney, both based in Perth, Western Australia.

Martin, the Operations Manager, has a wealth of experience in the managing of numerous successful businesses including a major electrical engineering company in the UK. Since settling in Perth, Martin has embarked on his aviation career and is a qualified pilot.

Pete, the Medical Director, has been involved with aviation for over 25 years having spent a number of years as a regular officer in the Royal Air Force where he spent much of his time involved with worldwide aero-medical patient transport. He is also a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Perth Hospital. Pete qualified as a pilot in 1977.

The Chief Pilot is Jay Bowerman. Jay is a well-regarded character in the Perth flying scene. He holds his commercial pilots licence, is a grade 1 instructor and has nearly 3000 flying hours. He has extensive experience in bush flying and has spent considerable time flying to and from the Abrolhos Islands. Jay is a consummate professional with an eye for detail.

Together Martin, Pete and Jay form the core of the Ozwest operation.
